Cinema In The Snow

Hidden away in a converted Hackney warehouse is London’s latest pop-up cinema experience, Cinema In The Snow. One of REVL app’s recommended events this month, Hackney Showrooms has been transformed by Pop Up Screens into a life-sized snow globe for 10 days only. We went along to a special preview screening to check it out.

The magic begins as you make your way through the wardrobe to a Narnia-esque winter wonderland where it snows indoors and smells of Christmas spices. Twinkling lights lead you to the cinema room where you’ll find a selection of festive films playing through the month, from Home Alone to Love Actually.

We were treated to a special screening of Elf as we chomped our way through a whole yard of Drum & Kernal popcorn. Well, we tried to get through the whole yard!

As well as snacks, there’s also a bar stocked with festive favourites such as mulled wine. Hot chocolate comes in an array of options, including ‘Fun’ with whipped cream and a flake or ‘Frolicked’ with an added shot of holiday spirit.

Cinema In The Snow is one of many shimmering seasonal events happening around the capital this month. Check out the new REVL app to discover more pop-up events and activities in London. Use our REVL download code here for exclusive preview access: REVL10ZMP

With all the beauty of snow minus the chill factor, Cinema In The Snow is an enchanting way to watch all the Christmas cinematic classics. The schedule kicks off tonight with Elf and runs until the 18th of December.
