September is shaping up to be a scorcher in the UK. If all this sunshine is making you wish you still had a summer holiday to look forward to, it’s not too late to sneak in a cheeky little beach break in the Mediterranean.
The islands dotted around the southern coastline of much of Europe, surrounded by the beautifully clear, cool Mediterranean Sea, can experience sizzlingly hot days well into October. Early autumn temperatures can often simmer around the mid-20 °C mark.

So if you’re not ready to let go of summer dreams and sunshine just yet, take a look at these enticing destinations where you can get a good dose of sunshine and vitamin sea.
